To me the 30 shoots just softer enough for you to tell it. I am actually more accurate with the 30, don't know why. A friend that is a firearms instructor said it's due to being aware of the shorter barrel and concentrating more on the sight picture.The Gen4 G29/30 has the RTF texture and interchangeable back straps. Without any back strap/beavertail addition, the Gen4 G29/30 frame is the same *size* as the Gen3 G30SF/29SF/30S frame, but it is not the same. The 21 has a light on it and is used for home defence. The 30 is kept in my desk and the 36 is kept on my person. The 36 is the easiest to carry. The 30 isn't bad to carry though I find myself pulling my pants up a lot.
