I do know Steam Deck uses proton. Compatibility and runs Linux. So things that run natively on Linux should be fine. Just keep in mind they may not be optimized for Steam Deck so there may be problems. Sounds like a fun adventure though. Wish I could justify buying one this year. I installed Windows on my SD.
